Composition : Gabapentin USP 300 mg.
Indications : Epilepsy :
♦ Monotherapy and Adjunctive treatment of partial seizures with and without secondary generalization in patients > 12 years of age.
♦ Adjunctive treatment of partial seizures with and without secondary generalization in patients 2 – 12 years of age.
Peripheral neuropathic pain : painful diabetic neuropathy and post-herpetic neuralgia.
Migraine prophylaxis (unlicensed)
Dosage & Administration : Epilepsy
Monotherapy and Adjunctive treatment in adults : Initially 300 mg 3 times daily and dose can be increased up to 3600 mg in 3 divided doses.
Children (adjunctive therapy only) : 2 – 6 years : 30 – 70 mg / kg daily in 3 divided doses.
6 – 12 years : 25 – 35 mg / kg daily in 3 divided doses. 12 – 18 years: Initially 300 mg 3 times daily and dose can be increased up to 900 – 3600 mg in 3 divided doses.
Peripheral neuropathic pain
Adults over 18 years : Initially 300 mg 3 times daily and dose can be increased up to 3600 mg in 3 divided doses.
Migraine prophylaxis (unlicensed)
Initially 300 mg daily, increased according to response up to 2400 mg daily in 3 divided doses.
