Composition : Tablet : Sulfamethoxazole BP 400 mg + Trimethoprim BP 80 mg.

Suspension : Sulfamethoxazole BP 200 mg and Trimethoprim BP 40 mg. / 5 ml

Indications : Respiratory tract infections : Acute and chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis, lobar and bronchopneumonia, Pneumocystis carinii pneumonitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis, otitis media and sinusitis.

Genito-urinary tract infections : Urethritis, cystitis, pyelitis, pyelonephritis, male and female gonorrhea.

Gastrointestinal tract infections : Typhoid and paratyphoid fever, chronic carriers of Salmonella typhi and Salmonella paratyphi, cholera and shigellosis.

Skin infections : Pyoderma, abscess and wound infection.

Dosage & Administration : Tablet : Children over 12 years and adults : 2 tablets twice daily after meal. In severe infections 3 tablets twice daily. In long term treatment (more than 14 days) 1 tablet twice daily is recommended.

6 – 12 years : 1 tablet twice daily.

Tablet DS : Children over 12 years and adults : 1 tablet twice daily after meal. In severe condition 1½ tablets twice daily. In long term treatments (more than 14 days) 1 tablet once daily is recommended.

6 – 12 years : ½ tablet twice daily.

Suspension : 6 weeks to 5 months : 2½ ml or ½ measuring spoonful twice daily.

6 months to 5 years : 5 ml or 1 measuring spoonful twice daily.

6 to 12 years : 10 ml or 2 measuring spoonful twice daily.
